December 1848 message to the Senate by North Carolina Governor William Graham regarding the state's railroad liabilities on account of the Wilmington
& Raleigh, and the Raleigh & Gaston Railroad Companies, as well as a loan to repair the fire damage of the latter's railroad buildings. Included
were the governor's message and subsequent resolution concerning this loan, dated March 1848. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held
