1843? Report and minority report of the Select Committee on the communication from the governor relative to the slave George Latimar. This committee
resolved that the slaveholders in the state have a right to the return of their fugitive slaves who were in other states; and that Congress should so
pass that act. The minority was more threatening in tone and suggested that the state would be responsible for the enforcement of her citizens'
