1836? House Select Committee response to the letter of Benjamin W. Leigh resigning from his position as Senator from Virginia, and reviewing his reasoning against the instructions to expunge certain prior Senate resolutions. The committee resolved that his letter were deemed "highly disrespectful," and reasserted that the state legislature has the right of instruction to its representatives in Congress.
