1835? Report of the Select Committee on Abolition regarding the governor's message regarding the "disorganizing, seditious and incendiary" writings
of abolitionists. In a series of resolutions the committee reaffirmed its commitment to the Union, while stating that the federal government cannot
abolish slavery. Included were also several proposed amendments by Mr. Watkins (#22980-0001-002) and Mr. Miller (#22980-0001-002). See LLMC #22981 for
