Communication from Mr. Herring, 1822
1822 communication from John S. Herring, agent for the Commonwealth of Virginia, regarding military lands in Kentucky in which officers and soldiers
of the Revolutionary War were offered bounties (warrants) in certain "military district" lands following their service. Included was a discussion
of whether Virginia intended to make a reservation for the troops upon the establishment of Kentucky. See LLMC #22339 for a related document.
