Manuscript journals of Governor John Drayton of South Carolina during 1800 to 1810. In the beginning of the first volume, which covered Drayton's
time as acting governor, a note indicated that pages 191-196 were cut of the book due to a mistake recording minutes during an Executive Department
meeting. The second volume covered his first term as governor from 1800 to 1802; the third and fourth volumes covered his second governorship from 1808
to 1810. The final volume contained an general index regarding the subjects or recipients. There were also an individual index in the other volumes.
