Governor John Floyd. The South Carolina Convention was in response to the federal tariff laws on foreign manufactured goods; the state claimed these acts
were unconstitutional. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
Title:   Governor's communication, transmitting to the Legislature of Virginia, the report of the Committee of Twenty-one, to the convention of the people of South Carolina, on the subject of the several acts of Congress imposing duties for the protection of domestic manufactures with the ordinance to nullify the same.
