1848, House. Bill to amend the 73rd chapter of Rev. Statutes

1848 House of Commons bill to amend the Seventy-third Chapter of Revised Statutes, which concerned the state militia. The bill, recommended by the Committee on Military Affairs, allowed those thirty-five and older to be exempt from militia duty in time of peace as the age of enrollment was normally eighteen to forty-five. Additional changes and procedures were also included. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
