1755-10-31, Gov. Dinwiddie to Gov. Morris on military affairs (MS)
|
|
Wrapper: Letter _ Governor Dinwiddie to Govr. Morris. The letter came from Williamsburg. Dinwiddie again sympathized about the recalcitrant Pennsylvania Assembly and he was still mad about Dunbar's retreat from the western country. Virginia had lost 80 farms on its frontier. He was glad about General Johnson's success at Crown Point. His own Assembly was not interested in raising any more money for troops, either.
