Wrapper: Jany. 3d 1756 Draft of a letter to Capt. Wayne, to the care of Mr. Edmunds at Bethlehem. Note: Entd. The above was writin on the back of
the original. Header: Orders and Instructions to Capt. Isaac Wayne dated at Reading 3d January 1756. Wayne's company would camp around Nazareth;
he was to keep his men in good order and protect the district. He was to recruit twenty men, each with his own gun and blanket and keep good records.
Each man would get forty pieces of eight for each Native American killed and scalped. The company was to be prepared to march with an hour's notice.
