176-?, Chester County petition
|
|
A petition, written probably in the 1760s, from some inhabitants of Chester County to the General Assembly. Petitioners requested that the legislature act to allow a sum of money in bills of credit, secured properly, in light of the prohibition of paper money as legal tender and of the increase of business in the county. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the American Antiquarian Society Library in Worcester, Massachusetts)
