January 2, 1776 Tory Act, issued by the Continental Congress in Philadelphia. Included were resolutions that the various committees, council, etc.
should disarm, keep in custody, or otherwise deal with Tory Loyalists supporting Great Britain; provide mutual aid and troop support to all the
