1845, Resolutions of Rhode Island & Arkansas [Va. doc.]
1845 Rhode Island resolutions against the annexation of Texas, as well as Arkansas resolutions asserting that free Negroes and mulattoes are not
citizen of the United States, and supporting South Carolina's expelling of an emissary from Massachusetts whose presence would be considered "dangerous to
its peace." These resolutions were sent to the governor of Virginia, who then submitted same to the House of Delegates. See LLMC #23343 for a
