October 12, 1774 Proclamation of Governor John Penn which responded to a proclamation from Virginia which claimed that Pennsylvania was encroaching
on its lands; this proclamation claimed those western lands were within Pennsylvania. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of the title originally held
