November 24, 1783 Congressional proclamation adopted by the New Hampshire legislature which set the second Thursday in December as a day of public

Title:   State of New-Hampshire. In Committee of Safety, Exeter, Nov. 14th, 1783 : Whereas the honorable Continental Congress have recommended that the second Thursday in December next, be observed as a day of public thanksgiving throughout the United States: ordered, that the following proclamation ... be forthwith printed ... and that the said day be accordingly observed throughout this state.
