1761 order from the governor to enlist men in the regiments of the Province along with a blank enlistment form. Of note, the order limited Negroes

Title:   Province of Massachusetts-Bay. By His Excellency the governor. To [blank] : I do hereby authorize you by beat of drum or otherwise, to inlist such able-bodied men as shall be willing to serve his majesty in any of three regiments, to be put under the command of officers of this province, and under the supreme command of General Amherst, His Majesty's Commander in Chief in North America; ... Given under my hand and seal at Boston this [blank] day of [blank] 1761.
