1837, Const. Conv. Minutes of the Committee of the Whole
1837 Minutes of the Committee of the Whole of the Convention of the State of Pennsylvania to propose amendments to the state constitution and an
index to these minutes. Of note, in a discussion on the section regarding permitted exclusions from suffrage, a motion was proposed excluding "all black
or colored persons." This motion was disagreed to and not included in the amendments. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by
the New York Public Library).
