By His Excellency Benjamin Guerard, Esq ; governor and commander in chief in and over the state of South-Carolina. : To [blank] Whereas in and by an ordinance of the General Assembly of this state ... entitled an Ordinance to oblige all persons nominated as magistrates, before they take upon them the execution of said office, to qualify ... by taking or subscribing the oath enjoined by the thirty-sixth article of the Constitution ... and also the oath of office ... Given under my hand and seal, at Charlestown, this [blank] day of [blank] one thousand seven hundred and eighty [blank].
