|
1836 Governor's submission to the legislature of a report and resolution from the South Carolina legislature regarding domestic slavery and abolition societies in non-slave states. Of note, the resolutions included statements that these societies were in direct violation of the compact of unions, slavery was the concern of slave states, and not to be interfered with by non-slave states.
