Owens. Report of Evidence in the Duval claim, 1840
1840 Report of evidence taken before the Select Committee on the Eastern Shore Rail Road in reference to Mr. Duval's claim again that company for
forfeiture of the contract. Included was the testimony of James W. Collins, a surveyor and general referee, who had been hired by Duval to make an
estimate of the excavation and embankments for the company. Also included was the testimony of the superintendent of two divisions of the company, and
Mr. Duval testimony in his behalf, and various accounts from the parties, as well as the contested contract. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
