1839 Report of the Committee on Internal Improvement regarding a review of the money borrowed on a pledge of the certificates of stock of the state issued in 1838, and what portions remained unexpended; the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal was the subject of said financial arrangement. Also included were resolutions resulting from an examination of this issue dealing with requested appropriations from the United States of complete the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal to the town of Cumberland.
