Description and Holding Information
1753-71, Gov. Sharpe's letterbooks (MS)
1753-1771 Letterbooks of Governor Horatio Sharpe. The governor served as the 22nd proprietary governor of Maryland from 1753-1769; thus some of the
included correspondence was written after his governorship ended. Also of note, letterbooks for the colonial period have survived only for the
administration of Governor Sharpe (per Maryland Hall of Records Commission No. 2. Catalogue of Archival Material, 1942. p. 19) (Digitized from a microfilm
copy of title originally held by the Hall of Records in Annapolis, Maryland).
