|
1840 report of the Committee on the State Prison, submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly. The committee suggested a system of county prisons
that would allow prisoners to be employed and learn proper discipline, as well as providing money to compensate these counties. Included was a
resolution to support these conclusions. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Connecticut Historical Society Library).
