April 17, 1775 handbill to the freemen of Rhode Island from William Ellery, who refuted a prior handbill signed by Darius Sessions. Ellery
contradicted the prior information, and indicated that the Governor Wanton was not supportive of the patriots. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of a title
