Title:   State of Connecticut, by the Captain-General and Commander in Chief : the General Assembly, at the session in May last, passed "An Act for Forming, Regulating, and Conducting the Military Force of this State" : our defence and security at this time of peculiar difficulty and danger ... depending upon the exertions of a well-regulated militia ... it becomes necessary that the same be diligently attended to ... / dated this 25th day of July, 1782 ; by his Excellency's command, Test.
