plus sup. Vol., Geneva, Fratrum de Tournes, 1771. (Johann Gottlieb Heineccius, 1681-1741, was a German legal academic, who held professorships
in philosophy and/or jurisprudence at Halle & Frankfurt in Germany, Franeker in the Netherlands, and, from 1733 until his death, again at Halle.
Heineccius conceived of law as a rational science and a philosophically unified system, flowing organically from first principles. His chief legal
works were: Antiquitatum Romanarum jurisprudentiam illustrantium syntagma, 1718; Historia juris civilis Romani ac germanici, 1733,
Elementa juris Germanici, 1735, & Elementa juris naturae et gentium, 1737. He also wrote works on purely philosophical subjects. This
Geneva edition of his Opera Omnia was edited by his son Johann Christian Gottlieb Heineccius. The materials included are spread among the
