in the 24th Infantry, who was convicted for disobeying an order, mutiny, murder, and assault to commit murder in connection with the riots of the 24th
Infantry in Houston, Texas on August 23, 1917. He was sentenced to be dishonorably discharged, with total forfeitures, and confined to hard labor in
the penitentiary for life. The Judge Advocate General recommended that any of his sentence exceeding twenty years be remitted.)
