Justice, Bureau of Investigation, January 17, 1925. ( The clemency review file of Henry Green, formerly a Private in the 24th Infantry, who was found
guilty by court martial of disobeying orders, murder, and mutiny and felonious assault in connection with the race riots in Houston, Texas on August 23,
1917. He was sentenced to be dishonorably discharged with total forfeitures, and confined to the penitentiary for life. Documents include a
memorandum to the Judge Advocate General, a clemency memorandum to the Secretary of War, and a letter from the Judge Advocate General recommending the
Attorney General approve the findings of the Board of Parole in granting parole.)
