1875, Laws of Barbados (2 v.)
The laws of Barbados (1648-1874); By authority: Vol. 1–2, 8vo, London, W. Clowes & Sons, 1875. (“The same Commissioners were in 1873 appointed to
bring out a new edition; and early in 1874 the Legislature passed seven consolidating acts on subjects of importance. {The work} includes the Acts up to
May 1874, and was to be the only lawful statute book with regard to the laws inserted therein. Limited powers of amendment were conferred on the
Commissioners, viz., to insert present salaries where any alteration had taken place, and to convert penalties expressed in sugar into money; but they had
no authority to consolidate.”— From the preface of the 1912 revision at pp. viii–ix.)
