This issue of the Code de la famille represents the 1972 promulgation with the notable changes made in 1989. These changes dealt with placing the
wife on equal footing with the husband. Significant among these changes was the deletion of Article 154 which required the husband's approval for the
wife to work outside of the home. The text has been copied from the Equal Rights Trust's website (March 2022).
