Trinidad and Tobago Revised Ordinances, 1950. Prepared under the Authority of the Law Revision Ordinance Ch. 1, No. 1, by Elliot Francis Maingot.
This Edition contains the Ordinances of the Colony in Force on the 31st Day of December, 1950, exclusive of those reserved by Ordinance No. 23 of 1949
and by Subsequent Proclamations. Printed in 10 volumes by O. F. Roworth, Ltd., Government Printers (London 1951). (Description is to Vol. 1. The preface
in that volume states that the “ordinances are grouped under 43 chapters in the first six volumes. The seventh volume is divided into two parts …a
chronological table showing the disposal of the Ordinances in the 1940 Edition and those enacted subsequently … [and] a full index to the Ordinances.”
Subsidiary law including rules and regulations are found in the eighth and ninth volumes. Vol. 10 includes the Reserved Ordinances mentioned in the
Schedule to Ch. 1, No. 1, and those subsequently proclaimed. A table of contents in Vol. 1 includes the contents of the first six volumes (Chapters
1-43). Other volumes include tables of contents for those volumes; some contain alphabetical indexes of the Ordinances and Appendixes. Vol. 9 includes an
Index to Regulations in Vols. 8 and 9.
