1916, Revised Ordinances of St. Lucia
Revised Ordinances of Saint Lucia reflected the statutes in force on December 31, 1916, printed by the Government Printer at the Government Printing
Office in Castries. The plan for their publication in six volumes was somewhat disrupted by World War I, which was discussed in the Preface. The
Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Criminal Code, and Commercial Code were to be in volumes of their own eventually. A brief Table of Contents on p. 4
listed the volumes planned, the Introduction on p. i-iv discussed the publication plans, p. v-vi listed the contents of the Codes, followed by a long
Chronology of Laws from p. vii-xxxiv and a Table of Contents from p. xxxv-xl. This was followed by just over 500 p. of Ordinances with a topical
Index at the end of the book on p. 1-65. Volume 2 had Ordinances from p. 517-1035, followed by a lengthy Appendix that includes Civil Law and Procedure,
a list of Imperial Acts affecting Saint Lucia, synopses of those acts, and Saint Lucia's Constitution, finally ending at p. 1116. The 65 page
topical index was repeated at the end of the volume.
