Nundy, An Exposure, The Transvaal Asiatic Ordinance, 1907
|
|
Pamphlet entitled "The Transvaal Asiatic Ordinance: an Exposure," by Edward Nundy and published in Johannesburg in 1907. Tn his preface, the author expressed his displeasure of the Transvaal Asiatic Registration Act, which required all Asians of eight years and above who resided in the Transvaal to register his or her name with the Registrar of Asiatics and be fingerprinted. Of note, while he did not agree with the reasons of Mahatma Gandhi in opposing the act, he concurred that the act was "rubbish."
