Codes Égyptiens et Lois usuelles en vigueur en Égypte: by J.-A. Wathelet and R.-G. Brunton, Vol. 1-2, Brussels, Veuve Ferdinand Larcier, 1919-20. (All in the French language. Volume I contains the various codes, in separate mixed and indigenous versions, and also the Code of Personal Status; each organized separately. Use of even the print version is very confusing. To facilitate online use, LLMC has superimposed a “parts” scheme onto the online version as follows: Pt. 1= Pref. matter; Pt.2= Code Civil Mixte; Pt.3= Code Civil Indigène; Pt. 4= Code de Commerce Mixte. Pt. 5= Code de Commerce Indigène; Pt.6= Code de Commerce Maritime Mixte. Pt.7= Code de Commerce Maritime Indigène; Pt.8= Code de Procédure Civile et Commerciale Mixte; Pt.9= Code de Procédure Civile et Commerciale Indigène; Pt.10= Code de Penal Mixte; Pt.11= Code de Penal Indigène; Pt.12= Code d’instruction criminelle mixte; Pt.13= Code d’instruction criminelle Indigène; Pt.14= Code de Statut personnel; Pt.15= Alphabetical table to all of the codes. Because the various codes are referenced to their article numbers, both in the short Table of Contents appearing before each separate code, and also in the comprehensive Alphabetical Table contained in Part 15, LLMC has tagged Parts 2-14 to the article numbers appearing at the head of each page. The Alphabetical Table itself is tagged alphabetically. Volume II contains: in its pain body, pp. 1-815, a summary of the laws in force arranged alphabetically in subject order, with the successive laws on a given subject arranged chronologically; pp. 816-825, an appendix of several laws not previous publicly published; pp. 827-852, a chronological table of laws passed, with reference to their location in the main body of the work; and finally, on pp. 853-877, an Alphabetical Table to the main body of the work. First time users will find that the easiest way to approach the main body of the work is to use this Alphabetical Table, which is keyed to the general pagination.)
