Dear valued LLMC Members: While it has been a while since the last content update, many great changes and content initiatives have been happening at LLMC. This content update provides updated information for August-October 2023, the three-month period after returning from the AALL conference this past July. We will send another update in January 2024, covering the period November-December 2023. Subsequently, our goal is to provide you with regular monthly updates. Evident from the statistical report below, the last three months have witnessed a significant increase in the number of titles added to the Early State Records Collection (echoed by the similar uptick in Massachusetts) as we have the conclusion of this significant project in our sites. Similarly, the German State (and Principalities/Kingdoms) Collection continues to expand. Phase 1 of this project with the Staatsbibliotek zu Berlin has surpassed 5,000 titles so far. Phase 2 is currently being processed for addition in 2024. Of further note are the new titles that continue to flow into the Indigenous Law and Navajo Nation DWR (Department of Water Resources) Collections. The latter project has concluded its Pilot Phase and is the focus of a grant proposal that was submitted in October 2023. In addition to these major efforts, one can attest to the fact that LLMC continues to provide new content throughout the database collections, viz. Russia, Poland, France, Germany (Federal), US States, Latin America. This accounts for the difference in the total number of new titles digitized versus the number of new titles added to the various collections. In addition, 4562 volumes have been added to the LLMC Digital collection, which brings our overall totals to the following (These amounts do NOT include numbers for our ever-expanding records & briefs collections): Online Titles: 33,537 Online Volumes: 162,909 Online Images: 95,208,833 The LLMC Digital online service is available through the LLMC consortium of libraries and other institutions.
