Director of Collection Development and Outreach
Anne Mostad-Jensen is the Director of Collection Development and Outreach at LLMC. In her role, she leads member training and education, manages marketing and communications, oversees data management efforts, and helps shape the collection development strategy in close coordination with the Director of Collection Management and Member Relations.
She has an extensive history working in law libraries and with government and intergovernmental documents. Prior to joining LLMC in July 2025, she served for six years as the Director of the Law Library at the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) in Vienna, Austria.
Anne has worked in academic law libraries, including serving as Head of Faculty Services at the Thormodsgaard Law Library at the University of North Dakota School of Law and as a
Reference Librarian and Assistant Professor at Concordia University School of Law. She has also held library-related roles at the University of Minnesota (Minitex) and the University of St. Thomas.
Outside of work, Anne enjoys traveling, learning new languages, reading, visiting cats at her neighborhood Petco, walking along the Mississippi River, and generally taking in all that the Twin Cities metro area has to offer throughout the seasons.
Executive Director, LLMC
Patrick Butler serves as Executive Director of LLMC, where he leads the organization’s strategic direction, partnerships, and ongoing efforts to expand access to global legal information. His work focuses on maintaining strong relationships with member institutions while guiding LLMC through a period of operational and technological change.
Patrick brings nearly two decades of experience in librarianship across both academic and law firm settings, as well as prior experience as a practicing attorney. He has been an active leader in the profession, holding numerous leadership roles in library organizations and contributing to the advancement of the field. His background informs a practical, collaborative approach that emphasizes clear priorities, strong partnerships, and steady progress in support of LLMC’s mission.
He is particularly interested in ensuring continued access to historically significant legal materials while adapting to the needs of a changing research landscape.
When he’s away from the office, Patrick can often be found exploring back roads by motorcycle, reading, traveling, or pursuing whatever new interest has captured his curiosity. He enjoys discovering new places, learning new things, and occasionally getting lost on purpose.
Business Operations Manager
Claudia Kolander is the Business Operations Manager at LLMC, where she oversees financial operations, including invoicing and member renewals. She works closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to support budgeting, vendor relationships, and day-to-day financial processes.
In her role, Claudia focuses on keeping operations running smoothly while supporting LLMC’s member institutions. She enjoys bringing organization and clarity to financial operations and helping ensure a smooth experience for members.
Claudia holds a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Hamline University, along with an ABA-approved associate degree in Paralegal Studies. Her background supports her work at the intersection of legal information and business operations.
Outside of work, Claudia enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening, getting lost in a good book, and traveling when she can to experience new places and cultures.
Director of Collection Management and Member Relations
Joseph Hinger has been working with LLMC since 2020 and is currently serving as the Director of Collection Management and Member Relations. His connection to LLMC, however, spans more than two decades, during which he has served in a variety of capacities.
His first professional position after graduating from library school was in an academic law library in a technical services role. He has never looked back and has been working in academic law libraries for 32 years before his career journey brought him to LLMC.
At LLMC, Joseph has a wide range of responsibilities. He represents LLMC at conferences, contributes to the development of the database, works extensively with metadata, and manages the preparation and processing of physical materials for digitization.
Joseph is also highly active in the broader library community. Within AALL, he currently serves as the Chair of the FCIL Schaffer Grant Selection Committee and provides ongoing training, guidance, programming, and mentorship to the members of the Technical Services Special Interest Section (TS-SIS). In addition, he is involved with IFLA (the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) and regularly attends the IFLA World Library and Information Congress (WLIC).
Joseph is passionate about traveling, both domestically and internationally, and especially if it intersects with libraries. His current library-related bucket list travel location is the Ahmed Baba Institute in Mali, where 20,000+ historic African manuscripts are being preserved and returned after being saved from destruction through the heroic actions of librarians and members of the broader community. This is a great reminder of the power of librarians and the community in protecting the history and culture of the world, and that we can all play a role in protecting that memory.
We’re excited to announce that LLMC will be attending the 2025 Minnesota Library Association Annual Conference, “Cultivating Connections, Stronger Together,” happening October 9-10 in St. Cloud, Minnesota.
