known to the public as “Fighting Fitzgerald,” was an upper class Irish rapscallion with many misdeeds to his credit before he was finally hanged for
murder in 1786 along with his law agent, Timothy Brecknock. The latter, a lawyer, was convicted of conspiracy in the murder, as was James Foy. The
copy of this work used for scanning was one reprinted in exact imaging format by ProQuest, EEBO Editions.)
