Gordon, The Appellate Jurisdiction of the House of Lords and of the Full Parliament, 1905
Pamphlet entitled "The Appellate Jurisdiction of the House of Lords and of the Full Parliament," by J. W. Gordon, and published in London in 1905 by
John Murray. The document examined the extent of Parliament's appellate jurisdiction; whether it was able to consider all the merits of the
controversy previously decided in the House of Lords, or its review is very limited. The basis for this discussion appeared to be an unpopular decision
rendered by the House of Lords in the case of the General Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland v. Overtoun, which was appealed to the full Parliament.
