A pamphlet entitled "The Early History of the Law Merchant in England and the Little Red Book of Bristol," by A. T. Carter. This publication was a reprint from the Law Quarterly Review, July 1901, and published in 1901, in London, by Stevens and Sons, Ltd. The first part of the pamphlet was a general history; however, beginning on page 15, there was a discussion of a treatise in Latin on the Lex Mercatoria, written in the 14th century. While transcribed by a Mr. Bickley of the British Museum, the author also attempted to discuss the general contents.
