Perry, the Future of Justice in Egypt, 1881
|
|
Harold A Perry's book, "The Future of Justice in Egypt," published in London by P.S. King, Parliamentary Bookseller in 1881. The purpose of the book, as noted in the forward is to review the current Egyptian legal system, as it is part of England's "Eastern Question." The author first reviewed the history leading to the implementation of the Tribunal. This system set up a native chamber and a majority European court, with various functions delineated between them. The author then reviewed proposed changes and critiques those proposals, as well as making a few arguments for alternatives.
