American and British Claims Arbitration: Cuba Submarine Telegraph Company: Answer of the United States: 23p., Place of Publication and publisher not identified, n.d. (The U.S. Answer in a claim arising when submarine cables of the Cuba Submarine Telegraph Company Limited, a British corporation, were cut by U.S. naval authorities during the Spanish-American War. The U.S. argues that the cutting of the cables and other injuries were necessary incidents to the proper conduct of war and do not constitute a legal basis for a claim of damages. The appendix includes letters, memorandums, and Senate Documents supporting their argument.)
