1821, Hannay, Address to the Right Honourable Lord President Hope and to members of the college of justice ….
Address to the Right Honourable Lord President Hope and to members of the College of Justice on the method of collecting and reporting decisions:
attributed to Robert Hannay, 65p., Edinburgh, Printed for David Brown, 1821. (In 1816 the Solicitor General asked that a committee be appointed to
consider various methods of collecting court decisions and to write a report. This address, attributed to Robert Hannay a Scottish barrister, points out
that after five years no report has been released. He then provides a history of collecting and preserving the decisions of the Courts of Justice and
addresses such topics as what decisions should be transcribed and how they should be collected.)
