1913, Court of Kings Bench Act
An act respecting a Court of Appeal for Manitoba; Being Chapter 46 of the Consolidated Statutes of Manitoba: n.a., 318+xviii+11p, Winnipeg, James
Hooper, King’s Pr., 1913; Bound with an amending act of 1917, 11p, Winnipeg, Philip Purcell, King’s pr., 1917? (Prior to 1913, the appeals function of
the Manitoba provincial judiciary was executed by the judges of the Court of King’s Bench sitting en banc. In a companion act of 1913, also offered on
this site, a Court of Appeals was established, and the court system took on its contemporary structure. The present act reorganizes the Court of King’s
Bench to to reflect its place in the new scheme and updates its functions and procedure in other respects. The amending act of 1917, containing
apparently minor amendments, is bound with the 1913 act, apparently by the Lincoln’s Inn Library, and, despite having its own pagination and publisher, has
no title page.)
