(1789-1924): by Daniel Chipman, Vol. 1-2, Middlebury, D. Chipman & Son, 1824, all publ. (Daniel Chipman was the brother of Nathaniel Chipman, several times chief
justice of the Vermont Supreme Court and author of one of the earliest systematic court reports in the United States. {See Chipman, Nathaniel’s
Vermont Reports, V.1-2, elsewhere on this site.} For its scanning of Vol. 2, LLMC used an 1860 reprint by Geo. A. Tuttle & Co., Rutland, 1860. While this
is notated as a “Second edition,” no new editorial matter appears to have been added. However, if a “truer” first edition is discovered, LLMC will
replace this 1860 volume.)
