January 9, 1779 A vindication of the conduct of the General Assembly of Vermont held at Windsor in October 1778 against the allegation and remarks of
the protesting members who met at convention in Cornish on December 9, 1778. This vindication was written by Ira Allen and involved the decision of
the assembly to no longer support 16 towns as becoming part of Vermont, in exchange for New Hampshire's support of Vermont's statehood. (Digitized
