1859? Report of the Committee of Finance regarding the policy of issuing state bonds which were payable in New York. After determining the
differences between coupon bonds payable, principal and interest in the New York stock market and Raleigh, the committee concluded that New York's payable was
at a higher rate of an average of one percent. Thus, the committee recommended that the State Treasurer be judicious in making the bonds and interest
payable in New York. Supporting documents were also attached. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the University of North
