1859 House Committee on Internal Improvement report and recommendation regarding the bill to incorporate the Roanoke Valley Railroad Company. The
bill provided for the construction of a rail line near the worn of Clarksville, Virginia to the Raleigh and Gaston Railroad, near Ridgeway. Included in
the bill were subscription procedures, as well as corporate duties and powers and other relevant corporation matters. Also included was the process
to pay freeholders for land used or damaged by the railroad. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Library of Congress).
