August 25, 1693 proclamation by Governor Benjamin Fletcher regarding the readiness of the Province of New York in defense of the French, who have both ships and land forces in a planned attack. An addendum indicated that the original proclamation was destroyed in a fire in 1911; this version was a reproduction.
