Dr. Samuel Auchmuty's letter of April 19, 1775 to Chief Engineer Capt. Montresor of Boston in which Auchmuty discussed a proposed conciliatory position with the colonies and that failure to accept the Parliament's resolutions would cause Britain to act. Of note, the author referenced both Hancock and Adams, and "all their rebellious followers?" (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Historical Society Library).
