|
April 20, 1840 petition submitted to the Connecticut General Assembly to enact certain banking laws. The petition, submitted by a number of Connecticut citizens, requested various banking reforms, including allowing banks to only issue notes with adequate security, stockholder requirements, and process of incorporation.
